Hokie Wellness spring semester challenges

At the start of the new semester, Hokie Wellness will offer two different challenges for employees. Both challenges begin on Jan. 20. You may participate in one or both challenges.

Eight-week goal-setting series

Learn how to set goals that are manageable and achievable, through content delivered by email. Topics that include “Saying No in Order to Say Yes,” “Finding Your Why,” “the Power of Your Words,” and more.

The series begins with a welcome email. You will then receive an email each Monday for the next eight weeks. In addition to these topics, the emails will include “homework” for the week. You will have the ability to go back to complete any homework you may have skipped.  

Weekly digital well-being challenge

Digital well-being occurs on a spectrum and flourishes when we use our electronic devices in a way that maximizes the positives and minimizes the negatives.  

Weekly exercises will help you understand the eight dimensions of digital well-being, assess your individual strengths, and support areas of improvement. We will suggest ways to relax, boost your creativity, and enhance social connections.  

Participants who complete one of the eight-week challenges will have the opportunity to select a prize, such as a fleece blanket, water bottle, or umbrella, from the Hokie Wellness prize box.
