Campus safety walk scheduled for Oct. 22

In an effort to enhance safety and security concerns on the Virginia Tech campus, students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in a nighttime safety walk on Oct. 22.  The walk will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. 
 
Participants will carpool to the Drillfield then walk around various points on campus. Main points of interest will be outside the residence halls, through the classroom building area, and the bus loops by Perry Street Garage.

The nighttime setting offers a different vantage into potential maintenance and safety issues that may reveal themselves only in the dark. Feedback and recommendations collected from the walk will be used to guide upcoming facilities projects and Virginia Tech Police Department initiatives.
