Reporting discrimination and harassment
From: Office for Equity and Accessibility
The Office for Equity and Accessibility (OEA) works to ensure that our university community maintains living, learning, and working environments free from discrimination and harassment.
We encourage anyone who experiences discrimination or harassment to report to us via one of the following methods:
- Website: oea.vt.edu
- Email: equityandaccess@vt.edu
- Phone: (540) 231-2010
- In Person: 220 Gilbert Street, Suite 5200, Blacksburg campus
In accordance with Virginia Tech’s non-discrimination policies, including Policy 1025, OEA promptly and equitably responds to all reports and complaints – regardless of whether the person accused of violating a policy is an undergraduate or graduate student, or a member of the university’s faculty or staff.
University policy requires administrators, supervisors, and those performing instructional or academic advising duties who learn about an incident of discrimination or harassment – whether directly or indirectly – to report the incident to our office. For more information about this requirement or to report an incident, please contact OEA.
