Participants needed for research study

From: Occupational Ergonomics and Biomechanics Labs

The Occupational Ergonomics and Biomechanics Labs at Virginia Tech are seeking female participants for a research study (IRB-21-1022) on investigating sensitivity and spatial acuity in perceiving vibrotactile stimuli at different sites on the body during a variety of movements, including static vs. isometric force exertion vs. dynamic movement (e.g., walking, construction work tasks).

To participate in this study, you must:

  • Be 18 – 45 years old
  • Have no self-reported current or recent (past 12-months) musculoskeletal problems or injuries

Where: Occupational Ergonomics & Biomechanics Labs (526, 528, 556 or 539 Whittemore Hall).

When: Recruiting now for spring, summer, and fall 2024

Compensation: $10/hour compensation or equivalent course credit will be provided for up to 2.5 hours of your time. Prorated amount ($10/hour) will be provided if withdrawn prior to completion of the study.
