Noise amplification alert: Skipper to fire multiple times over the weekend

In support of campuswide activities, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets cannon, Skipper, will fire four shots this weekend.

The first shot will occur Saturday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m. to signal the opening of Hokie Village in support of the spring game.

The second and third shots will occur on Upper Quad between 1:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday as cadets complete the spring Caldwell March. Actual time will depend on weather and road conditions.

The fourth shot will occur Sunday, April 14, as Skipper fires during the opening ceremony near Tech Softball Park for the Virginia Tech Softball Military Appreciation game between 11:55 a.m. and 12:05 p.m.
