Smartphone users needed for driving study

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is seeking individuals in the New River Valley and Roanoke Valley area to participate in a research study. The study will include having a personal vehicle instrumented with sensors and cameras for 10 weeks. Participants will drive as they normally do and try cell phone technologies that aim to reduce distracted driving. Participants will also complete surveys.

To qualify, volunteers must have valid U.S. licenses, live, work, or drive in the New River Valley or Roanoke area, be aged 18-24, and have experience using an iPhone or Android cellphone while driving.

Volunteers will be compensated $300 for full participation. All data will be kept strictly confidential.
