Studies show that setting boundaries can improve mental and emotional health, develop identity and a sense of autonomy, and avoid burnout and fatigue. For many, however, this can pose a challenge between juggling expectations at work, responsibilities to family and friends, and reserving your own personal time.

Join Hokie Wellness on March 27 for a lunchtime workshop on Healthy Boundaries for Professionals from 1-2 p.m. in the North End Center, room 2420. Attendance is limited to 30, and registration is required.

This workshop will define different types of boundaries and identify obstacles that make boundary setting difficult. We will also explore how different situations, identities, cultural norms, and social contexts may impact a person’s comfort and ability to set and maintain boundaries.

Participants will practice writing down boundaries they can implement now and leave with practical steps on how to set additional ones going forward.
