Faculty, recommend your high-achieving students to become peer tutors

Student Success Initiatives is excited to announce a new academic partnership with Knack, a leading peer tutoring platform that enables students to learn from one another.

Knack’s platform allows students to book 1-on-1 and group tutoring sessions with Knack tutors, who are verified high-achieving students from Virginia Tech who have previously aced the courses in which they offer assistance.

Tutoring is subsidized for all students. Sessions can take place in-person or online. To learn more, watch a short overview video from Knack.

Faculty, you can help us get ready to go live with Knack by

• Recommending students who have received a B+ or better in your course to sign up as peer tutors on the platform. You can recommend one or more students in just a few minutes with our brief Knack Tutor Professor Recommendation Form.
• Encouraging students to work with a Knack peer tutor. To view available tutors, students should visit vt.joinknack.com and sign in with their student account.
• Listing Knack as a resource for help in your syllabi.
