Care.com premium access has expanded to include non-student wage employees

Non-student wage employees, in addition to full-time faculty and staff, across all locations, now have access to Care.com’s premium membership.  

This membership provides unlimited, premium access to the Care.com network for finding childcare, adult care, pet care, housekeeping, and tutoring.  

With premium access, employees can book short- and long-term care with a wide range of provider types including those with experience assisting children and adults with special needs. All caregivers within Care.com’s network have completed a background check. (See CareCheck to learn more.) Employees can search for caregivers, post jobs, purchase additional screenings, and pay caregivers in real time through the platform. 

Those interested in registering may do so at care.com/virginia-tech; be sure to register with your Virginia Tech email address. 

Employees are invited to learn more about the services available through the Care.com premium membership at a 30-minute virtual information session. Registration is preferred but not required.  Sessions, offered by Hokie Wellness, will take place on: 

• Friday, Feb. 9, 1:30 p.m. 
• Wednesday, March 20, 12 p.m. 
  
• Thursday, April 25, 12:30 p.m.
