Virginia Tech announces partnership with Cultural Care Au Pair

Virginia Tech is pleased to announce a partnership with Cultural Care Au Pair, a new childcare option for employees, available immediately.  

Au pairs can provide an enriching cultural experience for families while helping working parents pursue their professional goals. An au pair is a young adult from overseas who lives with your family on a legal visa for up to two years and provides childcare in exchange for a weekly stipend, room and board, and an opportunity to become part of an American family. Over time, an au pair becomes a trusted support for the parents at home, and a beloved and consistent caregiver for your children.

Among the many benefits to having a live-in care provider, au pairs provide up to 45 hours of care per week; schedule hours according to your needs including coverage for sick days; help with drop-off and pick-up; offer children exposure to different cultures and languages; and provide the opportunity for better work/life integration for parents.

A virtual information session with Cultural Care Au Pair staff will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 12 p.m. Registration is required.  

The session will feature Catherine Kossler, director of business development, and Erin Capron, a former host mother and current director of repeat and extension sales.

*To qualify for this discount, families must be new to Cultural Care Au Pair and must be employed by or a member of the partner organization. Offer cannot be applied retroactively and may not be combined with any other program fee discounts (excluding host family referral bonuses). Program fee discounts may only be applied to program terms of 30 weeks or more. The processing fee of $450 must be paid upon final au pair selection.
