Why should you donate to local charities through the 2023 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign ? Here are our top five reasons:

5. Your donation, no matter how small, has an impact. Even a $5 donation can make a difference in someone’s life.
4. Your contribution supports organizations that help build a better place for us all to live, work, and raise our families.
3. You can choose from more than 750 charities. From health and human services, animal welfare, environmental conservation, and more, you’re sure to find a cause that matters to you.
2. If you can’t decide on a charity, no worries! Undesignated gifts support the Virginia State Employee Assistance Fund, which provides grants to state employees suffering from a financial crisis or an unplanned emergency.
1. Giving makes you happy! According to a Norwegian study published in Nature, there is a neural link between generosity and happiness

Become part of a caring community that helps neighbors in need. Donate to the CVC today.

This year’s campaign has a goal of $400,000 and runs until Dec. 8.

NOTE: As a reminder, Virginia Tech employees are asked to use the university's CVC donation site when making a contribution. The state has a separate donation site, but donations made through that site may not be counted toward Virginia Tech's campaign goal.

If you have any questions, please contact your department representative or steering team member. You can find more information on the CVC website.
