Register for today's Principles of Community workshops

From: Office for Inclusion and Diversity

Transforming Conflict is one way of Moving from Words to Action using our Principles of Community. Ever wonder where conflict really begins? The source of any conflict is triggered not by the words or actions of others but by our brains and beliefs. By understanding our beliefs and creating empowering beliefs about conflict we can “hack” our minds such that we can create a center of balance for when the storms of conflict hit.

Join Reese Ramos from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. March 14 at University Mall 2104 for Principles of Community workshop, "Transforming Conflict: Changing our Beliefs." Enroll in the course

Other courses offered on the 14th include the following:

  • "Let’s Collaborate with Touchpoints," facilitated by Tina Kapalin virtually from 10:00 - 11:45 a.m. Enroll in the course

Principles of Community Week is the annual celebration of the fundamental concepts that support InclusiveVT, our institutional and individual commitment to Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) in the spirit of community, diversity, and excellence. These principles reinforce our aspirations for a diverse and inclusive campus, where we can freely express and explore ideas in an atmosphere of empathy, civility, and mutual respect.

This year, the week will run from March 13 to March 17 with 21 engaging hybrid, virtual, and in-person workshops that offer the potential to earn digital badges. There are limited spaces available for the in-person workshops, so it is important to register soon!
