In honor of the 10th anniversary of No Hokie Left Behind, we invite you to join us at Spirit Plaza on Tuesday Oct. 15, from 5 – 7 p.m. to sign the No Hokie Left Behind pledge banner and commit to a safer, more connected campus. Check out GobblerConnect for more details.

No Hokie Left Behind is a campaign designed to increase personal responsibility for looking out for one another, and truly reflects what it means to be a Hokie – we take care of each other. The No Hokie Left Behind movement encourages students to “go with friends. stay with friends. leave with friends.” emphasizing the importance of sticking together and making sure no one is left in a potentially dangerous situation.

Our goal is to make sure all Hokies are safe, and that no one is left to make it home on their own. If you ever find yourself needing to make it back to your place alone, the Virginia Tech Police Department sponsors a nighttime safety escort service called “Safe Ride.” This service is available to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the university. Safe Ride operates from dusk until dawn and provides transportation or a walking escort, upon request, to persons who must cross campus during the nighttime alone.
