For the Media
The Virginia Tech Media Relations team works to connect faculty, and campus newsmakers with the media. This includes serving as the primary resource for media inquiries and outreach; distributing news releases and stories featured on the VTx news site; building relationships with regional and national media; producing on-camera and radio interviews in the Media Relations Broadcast Studio; coordinating press conferences; publishing and pitching media advisories and expert commentary; and maintaining the @vtnews Twitter account.
Reporters can subscribe to Virginia Tech's VTx Daily, emailed daily Monday through Friday throughout the year. The email is a service of Virginia Tech to inform students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and the broader community of current campus news and events.
Our studio
Virginia Tech's television and radio studio can broadcast live HD audio and video via a variety of digital transmission methods to networks, news agencies, and affiliates interviewing Virginia Tech faculty, students, and staff.
