Rebecca Grogan receives 2015 College of Architecture and Urban Studies Outstanding Senior Award
Rebecca Grogan of Hudson, Maryland, received Virginia Tech’s 2015 College of Architecture and Urban Studies Outstanding Senior Award.
Sponsored by the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and the senior class, the Outstanding Senior Award recognizes exceptional academic achievement and leadership by a graduating senior from each of the university’s eight colleges. Recipients have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale and are selected by faculty and students within the respective colleges.
Grogan will receive a bachelor’s degree in visual communication design during the University Commencement ceremony May 15 in Lane Stadium.
Grogan is a dean’s list student and received the Derek Meyers Art Scholarship. She won the top design for the Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation logo competition in spring 2014 and the School of Visual Arts Foundations Art Award in 2011.
Grogan has served as a graphic designer in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences and the Division of Student Affairs, as a strategic marketing intern for College Media Solutions, and as a student designer for FourDesign, a faculty-led, student run digital and print design agency.
