Spring graduate and university commencement ceremonies to be broadcast live on Virginia Tech homepage
Virginia Tech will offer live streaming video of both the Graduate Commencement Ceremony and University Commencement Ceremony to be held Friday, May 11.
Links to the streams for both events will be accessible from the Virginia Tech homepage approximately one hour before each ceremony begins.
The Graduate School Commencement Ceremony will start at 8:30 a.m. in Cassell Coliseum and the University Commencement Ceremony begins at noon in Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.
"For many of our graduates, graduating from college is among the most significant milestones in a young person's life," said Dan Taylor, professor of agricultural and applied economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and chair of the University Commencement Committee. "It is so important for Virginia Tech to help our students, especially international students, to share this milestone with friends and family members who simply cannot travel to Blacksburg. I'm proud the university pulled together the necessary resources to make this happen."
At the conclusion of each ceremony, the video will be archived and accessible from the university’s commencement website.
