What’s your name, and do you think it’s as awesome as you are?
Nuggs — of course, my mom gave it to me and it fits my personality just right.
Who is your human and what is their role at the veterinary college?
My mom's a doctor at the vet school. It was fun getting to go to her labs and be petted by her classmates and intern mates.
What kind of critter are you, and what makes your breed (or mix) totally pawsome?
"Coconut Retriever" — I was sent here on a plane because of all the bad hurricanes, now I get to bring island joy to my mom in Virginia.
How many candles are on your birthday cake this year — or are you keeping that a secret?
8!!! I'm really excited to get older but mom seems more reluctant every year for a new candle.
Where did you find your human, and what made you pick them?
My mom found me! I just came off the plane super eager to stretch and I immediately met my mom, sister, and grandparents.
How would you describe yourself: a snugglebug, a wild child, or the boss of the house?
LAZY - but I love to walk and cuddle with my mom at every opportunity
What’s your signature move to get attention — puppy eyes, zoomies, or something else?
I cry.... a lot. It's cute, I think anyway?
Do you have a favorite toy that you’d fight a dragon to keep?
Probably my flying pig.. it's small like me.
What’s your go-to snack, and how do you convince your human to hand it over? (Do you have a secret trick?)
Anything and EVERYTHING. Mom puts me on a diet every time we come back from our grandparents house though .... eventually dad gives in when mom isn't looking.
What’s the most epic adventure you’ve had with your human?
Mom took me on a Christmas trip with cows in the backyard ... I LOVE cows.
What’s something you did that left your human totally speechless — good or bad?
When I was little I got scared and hid under the deck, I was so small back then but I got stuck so mom had to dig me out in the snow. I think she was speechless for good ... she was definitely impressed of how far back I got... right?
What’s your best “I’m too cute to handle” pose for the camera?
I'm cute from every angle — silly question.
Describe a day in your fabulous life. Do you work hard or hardly work?
Having dual income parents means I get the luxury of hardly working ... but don't tell anybody.
Do you have any rituals with your human, like belly rub o’clock or snack time at sundown?
My favorite part of the morning is waking up mom for breakfast. If I do it really early, she usually picks me up and forces me into cuddles. She calls it the WWE cuddling hour.
What’s your relationship status with other animals? BFFs, frenemies, or “it’s complicated”?
I love other animals but mostly my sister. We got adopted together and always have to be next to each other!
Do you have any party tricks that wow the crowd?
My name is Nuggs .... I wow the crowd just by showing up.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Definitely healing ... I'd love to heal all the pets so my mom would never have to go to work.
What’s one thing your human should learn from you?
To enjoy the little things...
What’s the best thing about being your human’s sidekick?
Getting to spend time with her ... I wish there were more hours in the day to do that.
