In memoriam: Nicholas 'Nick' Xavier Kuehn, junior, Pamplin College of Business
Nicholas “Nick” Xavier Kuehn, a junior in the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business, passed away on March 29. He was 19 years old.
Born in Burlington, North Carolina, Nick was pursuing a degree in cybersecurity management and analytics and was a member of the Securitas Living Learning Community. He excelled in his courses and made dean’s list multiple semesters. His passion for cybersecurity started at Fauquier High School, where he earned an advanced diploma with highest honors and completed a Cybersecurity Academy with honors.
Outside of classes, he worked in campus Dining Services and in his free time, he could be found going to the gym, playing basketball with friends, or watching soccer as an avid fan of Manchester United. Nick also valued his time with family, often participating in family movie and game nights, including spending time with his dog, Dasher.
His family remembers his kindness, humor, patience, and genuine care for others.
Nick is survived by his parents, Jason and Jennifer Kuehn; his maternal grandparents, Jay and Jeany Hubbell; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Marie Kuehn; his brother, Brady Kuehn; his uncle, Jimmy Hubbell; his aunts, Angela Breeze (Dwayne) and Heather Kuehn; and his godparents, Michael and Vidia Wray.
