On Thank a Donor Day, students across the Blacksburg campus paused between classes to write thank-you notes to those who shape their Virginia Tech experience. The annual event, held during IMPACT week, highlights how support from the Hokie community expands access to opportunities and supports student success.
Throughout the day, more than 600 students wrote notes sharing what the support means to them, from access to scholarships and research opportunities to the programs and organizations that define their time at the university.
The event offers students a moment to reflect on the impact of those who give to Virginia Tech and to recognize how their support strengthens both personal and academic growth.
Each note reinforces the community’s shared commitment to Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) and highlights the essential role donors play in creating meaningful student experiences.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event a success, and to those who support Virginia Tech.
