Winter weather: D.C. area locations to open at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 23

Due to inclement weather, the following Virginia Tech locations in the greater Washington, D.C., area will open at 10 a.m. today. All in-person classes and activities before 10 a.m. are canceled. Online classes will take place as scheduled.
Locations affected are:
- Academic Building One in Alexandria
- Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center in Alexandria
- Virginia Tech Research Center — Arlington
- Fralin Biomedical Research Institute’s Cancer Research Center — D.C.
For events taking place at the Executive Briefing Center at the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, please call 571-858-3030 or email llacour@vt.edu for an update on event operations.
University employees designated as emergency personnel should report as instructed by their supervisor.
Also, the Eastern Virginia Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Warsaw will operate on a 2 1/2 hour delay, and the Eastern Shore Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Painter will be closed.
