Wintry weather affects Virginia Tech campus operations; Snow routes in effect for Blacksburg campus

In anticipation of potential wintry weather, Virginia Tech has put snow emergency routes on the Blacksburg campus in effect starting at midnight tonight.
Every effort is being made to ensure Friday, Dec. 12, operations proceed as normal on the Blacksburg campus.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Blacksburg and Roanoke areas effective from midnight to 4 p.m. Friday.
This designation goes into effect prior to road conditions deteriorating to support snow removal and emergency vehicle movement.
