My mom is MaLora Bush and she is an assistant professor of practice and her primary role is as the medical dosimetrist and radiation therapist at the Animcal Cancer Care and Research Center in Roanoke, Virginia.
What kind of critter are you, and what makes your breed (or mix) totally pawsome?
I am a Red Golden Retriever. I am a little goofy but I am kind and gentle. I especially love my mom and my sisters (Molly-Jo and Nellee-Pearl). Although I am a big girl, I am completely scared of many things even myself sometimes. Once my mom got a new mop and I didn't go in the kitchen for 2 days because I didn't know what it was.
How many candles are on your birthday cake this year—or are you keeping that a secret?
This year I turned 4 years old.

I found my mom when I was 13 weeks old and I knew as soon as I saw hear that our hearts were connected. She is my heart human.

My mom says I am the princess of the house, however my dad says that I am the court jester but my dad can be ridiculous sometimes.
What’s your signature move to get attention—puppy eyes, zoomies, or something else?
All I have to do is make eye contact with my mom and I get whatever I want. Yes I am spoiled but mom says I deserve it.
Do you have a favorite toy that you’d fight a dragon to keep?
I love all stuffed toys and sometimes I get too possessive of my babies and mom has to put them away.
What’s your go-to snack, and how do you convince your human to hand it over? (Do you have a secret trick?)
I love carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, apples (peeled and cored only). In reality, I love all snacks. I haven't met one that I didn't like.
What’s the most epic adventure you’ve had with your human?
I get scared easy so I do not enjoy adventures.
What’s something you did that left your human totally speechless — good or bad?
I get scared once because the wind blew and I ran through the fence in the backyard. Fortunately my neighbor was outside. He took me home and when my mom and dad answered the door they were completely shocked. My dad wasn't too happy because he had to put in a new panel of fence.

Do you have any rituals with your human, like belly rub o’clock or snack time at sundown?
Each night before I go to bed, my mom lets me get a drink of water out of the sink in her bathroom. I love it. I have even taught my little sister Nellee how to do it, so now she gets to do it too.
What’s your relationship status with other animals? BFFs, frenemies, or “it’s complicated”?
I have 2 sisters- Molly-Jo is my older sister and she is a blonde straight hair labradoodle. She has taught me a lot and I look up to her. Nelle-Pearl is my little sister and she is an English black lab. I love to play and wrestle with Nellee.
Do you have any party tricks that wow the crowd?
I like to do the bunny hop with my mom.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
My superpower would be to spread love and happiness through out the world every time I wagged my tail.

My mom is always on the go so I think my mom should learn how to relax a little more.
What’s the best thing about being your human’s sidekick?
The best thing is that I know that I am my mom's heart dog and she loves me unconditionally just as I do her
Anything else you want to bark, meow, chirp, neigh, or squeak to the readers? (This is your moment!)
I would like to say hello to all my friends at CPRAC (especially Dr. Persons and Soni), they take really good care of me. I would also like to say thank you for the doctors in cardiology. I have a small aortic stenosis and they are great every time I go for a check up.
