From: The Virginia Tech Police Department

The Virginia Tech Police Department works closely with all of our campus and community partners to create a positive game day experience.  For those attending the Wofford game on Saturday, please keep the following information in mind.

  1. Gates open at 10 a.m. Arrive early to avoid heavy crowds.
  2. Download your ticket early to precent delay at gate.
  3. Remain on established pathways.  Do not climb fences or other obstacles.
  4. Walk. Do not run toward the gate.
  5. If the crowd in front of you comes to a stop, do not push forward or try to go around.
  6. Students will be directed to the NE ramp to access eastside student sections.
  7. Only Student GA tickets are allowed in the north and eastside student sections.
  8. Leave alcoholic beverages at your tailgate event.
  9. Stadium Woods access is restricted. Plan your route accordingly.

Only STUDENT General Admission tickets will be scanned at Gate 7.  All other tickets should proceed to Gates 1-6 for entry.  Tickets other that Student General Admission will be turned away.

Wristbands will be issued for Student General Admission Ticket holders at Gate 7 and REQUIRED to enter the north and east stands.  GA ticket holders who enter at another gate will need to come to the Gate 7 area prior to going to their seat to obtain a wristband.

Sections 126 – 129 (above the lower portal/area without seatbacks) and 226 – 229 are reserved for STUDENT General Admission tickets.  If you have tickets for any other area of the stadium, you should not attempt to enter the GA sections.

Violating basic rules of crowd etiquette creates an unsafe environment for everyone.  Individuals found in violation are subject to ejection, conduct referral, and potentially arrest depending on the violation.

Safety is a shared community responsibility.  Let’s all do our part to have an enjoyable game day experience.
