Center for the Arts offers $10 student tickets for noteworthy shows
The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech provides students with $10 tickets to almost every show at the Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre.
Popular shows this season include Step Afrika, Chris Thile, Ballet BC, 360 Allstars, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and many more in the state-of-the-art theatre.
For each show, there are tickets reserved for students, and they are available now on the Center for the Arts website. Reserved seats are available throughout the theatre, offering a variety of views.
Students who sign up for text notifications also have access to free last-minute rush tickets.
To sign up, text "arts" to 833-966-1838. Free rush seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, and availability varies by performance. To retrieve your rush ticket, bring your Hokie Passport to the box office at the time indicated in the text. Texts are sent out approximately three hours before the show begins.
“Attending shows is a great opportunity to see and try new things,” said Hannah Holbrook, the center’s house manager. “Aside from learning your discipline, you're also learning to be around different people and different world views. It’s great to bring in these different voices and perspectives to Blacksburg and expose people to things that they may never get to see otherwise.”
