Brandon Fleming, a sophomore in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 13. He was 19 years old.

A native of Burke, Virginia, Fleming was pursuing a degree in computer engineering and was a member of the Virginia Tech Crew Club.

His mother said “Brandon touched so many lives in his short time here on earth. We will forever miss his laugh, his hugs, his ‘I love yous,’ his wisdom beyond his years, all his future dreams, as well as his presence in our family."

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. at Fairfax Church, 11451 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fairfax Capernaum Young Life group at Fairfax Church. Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com.
