The Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics (MSBA‑BA) program in the Pamplin College of Business has earned a spot among the nation’s top data‑driven business programs. TechGuide ranked the MSBA‑BA program #22 in the United States for Best Business Analytics Master's Degree Programs in 2025.
TechGuide, an online publication intended to "help readers make data-driven decisions on the best tech-related educational and career opportunities" evaluates programs based on metrics including tuition cost, student‑to‑faculty ratio, admission rates, graduation rates, and graduate outcomes. This recognition highlights Pamplin’s mission to develop high‑impact analytics leaders who can solve real‑world business challenges.

The MSBA-BA program is a cohort-based, full-time graduate degree located at Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus. The 30-credit-hour curriculum is delivered over 12 months and includes a 15-hour business core and 15-hour analytics core. The program culminates in a nine-month, corporate-sponsored capstone project that simulates real-world consulting for industry clients.
This ranking reinforces Pamplin and Virginia Tech’s leadership in analytics education, leveraging the Center for Business Analytics’ strong corporate partnerships, expert faculty, and experiential learning opportunities.
