Who is your human and what is their role at the veterinary college?
Margie Christianson - Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing. I'd prefer if she stayed home and pet me full time .... but I guess she needs to earn money to give me treats.
What kind of critter are you, and what makes your breed (or mix) totally pawsome?
Pembroke Welsh Corgi! And no, Dr. Freeman, our butts don't hit the ground when we walk off the curb, corgis know how to manage our assets. :)
How many candles are on your birthday cake this year—or are you keeping that a secret?
Four later this fall! But the better question is -- how many treats will be on my cake?!
Where did you find your human, and what made you pick them?
She just showed up one day while I was chilling with my mom and brother. I guess she drove a bunch of hours in the middle of winter just to meet me and tell me how cute I was. But she's pretty okay so I decided she could bring me to my new home!
How would you describe yourself: a snugglebug, a wild child, or the boss of the house?
All of the above? Though my sister Min doesn't agree with the last one...
What’s your signature move to get attention—puppy eyes, zoomies, or something else?
People tell me my eyeliner is on point, so I use that to my advantage. :D
Do you have a favorite toy that you’d fight a dragon to keep?
No toy is worth that amount of danger ... unless it's filled with food. But I think my mom would tell me fighting dragons is not a good idea...she tends to ruin my fun with things like safety and rules.
What’s your go-to snack, and how do you convince your human to hand it over? (Do you have a secret trick?)
All the snacks! My humans are well-trained so I'm never in short supply. If I had to pick a favorite, it's when they cook me steak and serve it on a corgi-sized platter. You could say, like I'm royalty or something. :)
What’s the most epic adventure you’ve had with your human?
We go on lots of adventures, it's hard to pick a favorite... Our agility competitions are pretty epic, and the cabins we go to every year where I get to explore the woods and mountains and lakes!
What’s something you did that left your human totally speechless—good or bad?
During an agility competition, I went and tried to pee on a tunnel! She totally didn't say a word as she gave me an escort back to the car in her arms. But I know she was proud! I'm such a great boy!
What’s your best “I’m too cute to handle” pose for the camera?
I don't even have to do anything! I can just stand there and people tell me I'm "too cute."
Describe a day in your fabulous life. Do you work hard or hardly work?
I get up at 6:30am and if my humans aren't up, I make sure to wake them up so I can get breakfast. Then I go back to bed. :D.
Some days I hang out at home with Min and my dad, and other days I go on adventures or to agility class. I like adventure days. Lately though I've gotten to go with my mom to work and eat pie. Something about Giving Day and helping out other pets? It's been very fun.
In the evenings, I stare at my humans until they feed me and then bark at nothing in the backyard for a little bit. I round out the evening on neighborhood watch duty and then it's time to sleep in my favorite bed.
Do you have any rituals with your human, like belly rub o’clock or snack time at sundown?
After breakfast, I usually snooze mom's alarm clock so she can pet me while I go back to sleep.
What’s your relationship status with other animals? BFFs, frenemies, or “it’s complicated”?
I have a small group of besties, but Min is my favorite.
Do you have any party tricks that wow the crowd?
I'm getting pretty good at launching pies at veterinarians!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To be able to eat all the food - there are so many things I want to eat that I get told are "yucky..."
What’s one thing your human should learn from you?
Sometimes you just gotta bark ... it feels good!
What’s the best thing about being your human’s sidekick?
Everything! I let my mom spoil me but she's my best friend and I love all the things we do together. (Though Grandma is a close second...)
