Dear colleagues,

I want to thank everyone who has donated to charities through the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) so far this year.

Our local communities and charitable organizations are counting on us. Many individuals and families are experiencing unprecedented need. In some cases, charities are seeing families asking for help for the very first time.

Even a small gift will make a big difference. For example, each dollar you donate to Feeding Southwest Virginia (CVC Code 200877) can provide the equivalent of five healthy meals. Every dollar you give to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (CVC Code 200080) helps provide four meals.

If you haven’t had a chance to donate, there is still time. This year’s campaign runs until Friday, Dec. 9.

We need your help to reach this year’s goal of raising $400,000 for charities across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I encourage you to visit the CVC website and find a participating charity that is meaningful to you. Together, we can make a big difference in the lives of those in need.

Make your donation today through a payroll deduction or by cash, check, or online donation.

Thank you for your support and service to Virginia Tech and the community.

Sincerely,

Bryan Garey
Vice President for Human Resources
Honorary Chair, 2022 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign
