Ready to have fun while making an impact at Virginia Tech? Join the Giving Day Student Scavenger Hunt

Participating is easy. Download the app, type in the game code, and play. There will be more than a dozen missions to accomplish, each with a different point value.

The top five finishers will receive $500 in bonus funds to make a gift to the area of their choice, plus a piece of Virginia Tech swag. All participants will also receive a special t-shirt.

“What I love about Giving Day is you get to choose which area of Virginia Tech you want to support,” said Stephanie Miller, Student Alumni Association president. “From student organizations and clubs to athletics and Cook Counseling, any amount makes a difference. I’m so excited for this scavenger hunt. Make sure you download the Goosechase app to prepare! Also, who doesn’t love a free t-shirt? Let the Giving Day games begin!”

The race to win the scavenger hunt kicks off with three missions on Feb. 21 at noon, with the rest on Feb. 23 at noon.

Giving Day takes place from noon Feb. 23 to noon on Feb. 24. The 24-hour celebration of the Hokie Spirit and the power of giving back is a special opportunity for Virginia Tech students, employees, alumni, family, and friends to come together virtually and show their support for their favorite Virginia Tech departments, programs, student organizations, and teams.

You choose where you want your gift to have an impact, and special challenges mean that your gift can go further and do more good than at any other time of the year.

In addition to the scavenger hunt, you can make an impact on your favorite student activities and organizations by helping them compete to win a challenge. The five organizations that receive gifts from the greatest number of supporters will be awarded bonus funding through our Student Org Challenge.
