Virginia Tech has been ranked No. 9 on a list of "The Top 25 Universities To Work For in 2014," by Glassdoor.com.

The ranking is based on employee feedback entered on Glassdoor.com and includes institutions that received at least 50 reviews between Sept. 1, 2013 and Aug. 31, 2014. 

Each entry is evaluated on a five point scale. Employees at universities that scored the highest noted benefits such as flexible schedules, tuition reimbursement, an atmosphere of ongoing education, and opportunities to make an impact on young lives.

The ranking is among the many the town and Virginia Tech have received in recent years that speak to the quality of life in Blacksburg which strengthens the university's ability to recruit and retain high caliber faculty and staff.
