6 p.m. update: The candlelight vigil in memory of Samanata Shrestha has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial Chapel lower terrace.
4 p.m. update: The Reynolds Homestead remains closed and events planned for Saturday have been canceled.
6:40 a.m. update: The Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Va. (National Capital Region) will be closed for outpatient appointments and elective cases on Friday, Feb. 14. Essential personnel should report as scheduled. The center will be open for emergency cases and staffed to attend to our current inpatients.
6:30 a.m. update: The Joshua Bell concert at the Moss Arts Center is now canceled. The artist could not travel to Blacksburg. Visit the Moss Arts Center website for more information.
6 a.m. update: Virginia Tech offices in the National Capital Region are closed on Friday, Feb. 14. All classes are canceled. Offices at the Virginia Tech Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church are closed.

7 p.m. update: The Joshua Bell concert at the Moss Arts Center scheduled for Friday night will be held as scheduled.
6:48 p.m. update: Operational hours and closing information from Dining Services, Recreational Sports, and Student Centers and Activities.
6:37 p.m. update: Due to poor road conditions and continuing difficulty moving snow, administrative offices at the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg will be closed Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. University staff designated "emergency personnel" must report as instructed by their supervisor.
All classes on the Blacksburg campus are canceled Friday.

2:05 p.m. update: All evening classes at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center are canceled for today.
The Virginia Tech Richmond Center has canceled all evening classes and activities today, beginning with 4 p.m. classes. The Virginia Tech Richmond Center will be closed Thursday, February 13. The Virginia Tech Southwest Center in Abingdon is closing at 3 p.m. today. All classes for the evening are canceled.
1:45 p.m. update: The Virginia Tech Richmond Center is closing today effective at 4 p.m. Additionally, the Richmond Center will be closed all day on Feb. 13.
12:50 p.m. update: The Virginia Tech Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church is closing at 7 p.m.
12:30 p.m. update: National Capitol Region classes beginning with 5 p.m. classes are canceled for Wednesday, Feb. 12. Virginia Tech facilities will close at 7 p.m. this evening, including all administrative and student service offices.
Noon: Blacksburg campus classes will be cancelled today beginning with 2:30 p.m. classes. University offices will be closed effective at 3 p.m. A late opening is planned for Thursday.
Due to inclement weather conditions, administrative offices at the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg will be closed at 3 p.m. today. University staff designated "emergency personnel" must report as instructed by their supervisor.
Classes beginning at 2:30 p.m. are canceled. Evening classes are also canceled.
The Blacksburg Transit stops operation at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

For Thursday, Feb. 13: Morning classes canceled. Classes begin with 12:30 p.m. class. University administrative offices open at noon. If this is to change, decision will be made no later than 10 a.m.
