Sarah Elizabeth Dugas of Virginia Beach, Va., a sophomore majoring in political science in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, passed away March 16, 2013 at age 18.

She is the daughter of Marc J. Dugas, Sr. and Robynne E. Dugas. A qualified sophomore in her freshman year at Virginia Tech, she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

Besides her parents she is survived by her siblings, Caroline V. Dugas and Marc J. Dugas, Jr.; paternal grandfather Alfred Dugas and paternal grandmother Carol M. Dugas; uncles, Charles Lewis, Jr. and his wife Donna, Christopher Dugas, Paul Dugas and his wife, Peggy, Jonathan Dugas and his wife, Luisa, Colin Dugas and his partner, Jayme, aunts, Traci Jackson; Kathy Thomas, Alison Cougill and her husband, John and twelve nieces and nephews. Sarah will be dearly missed by all her friends and those who received the blessing of meeting her. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Charles and Virginia Lewis.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1404 Pacific Avenue, Virginia Beach.

A celebration of Sarah's life will be held on Thursday, March 21, at Spring Branch Community Church, 1500 North Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Members of the Virginia Tech community are welcome to attend both services.
