Student found dead in campus residence hall
Editor's update: Virginia Tech Police have identified the student: Bryan Baugh of Carlisle, Pa., a sophomore majoring in international studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.

BLACKSBURG, Va., March 7, 2013 – Virginia Tech Police are investigating the death of a male student found in a Newman Hall dormitory room Thursday evening.
Based on what was discovered at the scene, police do not suspect foul play and do not judge a threat to the Virginia Tech community.
Virginia State Police are assisting in the investigation.
After not being seen for approximately one day, the male student was discovered by a resident advisor while performing a welfare check. Virginia Tech Police was notified at 5:25 p.m. for medical assistance and responded with the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad immediately.
Next of kin notification is in progress.
