Virginia Tech Union’s 20th annual Winterfest will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, from noon to 4 p.m. in Squires Student Center.

The indoor featival will feature various family-friendly activities including inflatable games, a balloon artist, arts and crafts, performances, booths showcasing Virginia Tech student organizations, and free snacks such as cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones.

The event is free and open to the public.

Since it began in 1992, Winterfest has become a successful way for Virginia Tech Union to give back to the community by providing a fun and friendly respite from the cold winter weekends.

“Winterfest is a fun day filled with activities to get students and the community out together to enjoy what we have to offer,” said Virginia Tech Union’s Director of Special Events Eroica Williams of Boyce, Va., a junior majoring in communications in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.

Free parking is available in the Squires Lot, located at the corner of College Avenue and Otey Street or the Architecture Annex Lot also on Otey Street. Find more parking information online or call 540-231-3200.
