Crime Alert: Blacksburg Police respond to call of a suspicious person
The following notice was provided to Virginia Tech from the Blacksburg Police Department:
Today (Wednesday, January 19, 2011) at 10:28 a.m., Blacksburg Police received a call in reference to a suspicious person in the Industrial Park area of South Main Street holding what appeared to be a rifle. Police officers from the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded and conducted a thorough search of the area. The alleged suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a white male, 35-40 years of age, brown hair, blue jeans and heavy coat.
