Vaccination clinic for Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff planned for Dec. 2
A vaccination clinic for Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff has been planned for Dec. 2 in McComas Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.*
Virginia Tech and Schiffert Health Center have planned a fall immunization clinic for students, faculty and staff to receive the H1N1 influenza or other needed vaccines. University students and employees may walk-in on a first come, first served basis to participate. No appointments are necessary. Additional vaccines will be available at this clinic. A current list of available vaccinations, fees, and updates is available on the Intravene website.
Charges payable at time of clinic by cash, check, or major credit card. For additional payment information call Intravene at (877) 947-3902, extension 2172. The fee/charge is not reimbursable for employees from Virginia Tech’s health insurance provider.

Potential participants who are under 18 years of age must have written parental consent to receive immunizations. The Informed Consent Form (PDF) and instructions are available online.

Nov. 16: Virginia Tech will hold a H1N1 vaccination clinic for university students, faculty, and staff on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in McComas Gymnasium.
Intravene Travel Clinic informed Virginia Tech’s Schiffert Health Center and the Office of Human Resources today, that they have received a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine for the university community.
University students, faculty, and staff are welcomed on a first come, first served basis (the clinic is for university students and employees only). No appointments will be taken; tickets will be distributed in line to avoid long wait times. Only the H1N1 vaccine will be administered at this clinic; the seasonal flu vaccine will not be offered.
A $19.96 fee will be charged to all participants receiving the H1N1 vaccination; both cash and credit cards will be accepted as form of payment at the time of the clinic. Receipts will be issued upon request for those participants who wish to seek reimbursement from their health insurance provider.
If additional H1N1 vaccinations are received for Virginia Tech, then a second clinic would be held on Dec. 2. At this time, however, no other clinics have been scheduled.
