In memoriam: Robert Stieber, a junior majoring in mining engineering in the College of Engineering
Robert Stieber of Harrisonburg, Va., a junior majoring in mining engineering in the College of Engineering has died. He was 22 years old.
Stieber was a member of the student team from the College of Engineering that recently won first place at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) / National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association (NSSGA) Student Design Competition.
A wake service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. at Kyger Funeral Home, 3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, Va., (540) 434-1359.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Harrisonburg.
