Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business is offering a new, three-week non-credit program for non-business students at Virginia Tech this summer.

“It’s designed to give the university’s juniors and seniors who aren’t business majors or minors a competitive edge in this slow economy and competitive job market,” said Sharon Scott, associate director of management and professional development.

“Business Applications Summer Experience” will be offered May 18 through June 5 on campus. Its topics include accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, leadership and management, marketing, and personal finance. The program will also discuss interviewing, resumé writing, and business etiquette. Participants will receive a certificate in business applications after completing the program.

The program fee is $3,700, with discounts available for early and group registrations. The registration deadline is April 1. Scott will hold information sessions on Jan. 27, Feb. 10, and Feb. 16 in Squires Student Center.
