Virginia Tech Board of Visitors to meet Nov. 7-8
The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, in the Board Room of Torgersen Hall (Room 2100) on the Blacksburg campus.
Board committees will meet that morning at the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center (unless otherwise noted):
* The Academic Affairs Committee meets at 8:30 a.m., Conference Room F.
* The Building and Grounds Committee meets in closed session at 8 a.m. in the Board Room and in open session at 8:45 a.m. in Conference Room A.
* The Finance and Audit will meet in closed session at 7:30 a.m. in the Private Dining Room and at 8:30 a.m. in open session in the Executive Conference Room.
* The Student Affairs Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the Dietrick Hall (D2) Private Dining Room to tour the recently renovated facility, and the open meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Topics under consideration are: a collaboration agreement between Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland, Baltimore; financial performance reports; and approvals to execute banking and security agreements.
The Special Committee on Research will meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center Executive Conference Room on Sunday, Nov. 7. The full board will hold an information session Sunday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. in the Torgersen Board Room.
